Re-create Studios After School Art Programs
Drawing, Illustration, and Design
This class is perfect for middle school artists who love to draw and want to take their skills to the next level. Students will explore drawing, illustration, and design through a mix of guided lessons and creative freedom—learning how artists turn ideas into strong visuals. Artists will practice observational drawing, character and object illustration, line quality, shading, composition, and visual storytelling. Design challenges may include creating characters, comics, posters, logos, album covers, or illustrated scenes inspired by personal interests. Students will also learn how to plan their work through sketching, refining ideas, and making thoughtful design choices. This class encourages experimentation, confidence, and creative problem solving while helping students develop their own visual style.
Clay Arts Studio
Get your hands creative in this fun, hands-on clay class. Students will explore the basics of working with various types of air-dry and oven-dry clay, learning hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, and sculptural forms. Artists will experiment with texture, pattern, and surface design, then finish their pieces using paint and sealants to create polished, expressive work. Projects may include functional objects, small sculptures, decorative containers, and imaginative creations inspired by personal interests. This class builds creativity, patience, and problem-solving skills while giving students a strong foundation in three-dimensional art.
