Junior Golf Program
Our Junior golf program at Reedy Meadow is concentrated on several pillars; fun, improvement, and sportsmanship. Golf is a game that requires dedication, integrity, and patience; we bring these values into our Junior Golf Program as well. Our program is focused on providing several opportunities for Junior Golfers to receive high quality instruction provided by our PGA Professional Staff. The Junior Golf Program will feature several different styles of clinics. Please enjoy some information below about each of them. This program is a way for juniors to learn and play the game of golf in a fun and exciting team environment. It also gives them the opportunity to play with their fellow teammates while receiving coaching and instruction from PGA Golf Professionals. The goal is to teach juniors the game of golf while at the same time teaching them sportsmanship, integrity, and respect for others.
The Format
Each team is broken down into two-person pairs (or three if a substitute is included) who play together in games.
All games are played in a two-person scramble format. This means that both players in a pair hit drives. The best shot is selected, then each player plays from the selected spot, and this process continues until the ball is holed.
The scramble format is key in allowing everyone to hit shots and contribute to the team. Junior Golf Program utilizes match play scoring, which focuses on performance vs. a score-to-par as is traditional with golf.
There will be NO refunds unless Lynnfield Recreation can fill your spot.
Kids need: there own clubs, balls and tees.

Beginner Golf Program
Is your child new to golf or looking to build a strong foundation in the game? Our Beginner Golf Program is the perfect way to get started! Designed for those with little to no experience, this course will teach you the fundamentals of golf in a fun and supportive environment.
What You’ll Learn
Proper grip, stance, and swing mechanics
Basic rules and etiquette of the game
Putting, chipping, and full-swing techniques
How to navigate the course and keep score
No equipment? No problem! Golf clubs and balls will be provided for all participants, so you just need to show up ready to learn and have fun.
